GUADALAJARA, Mexico – With Americans involved in the Gold Cup now back and fully integrated into their respective Liga MX squads, there should be plenty of action south of the border this weekend.

First up is Club Tijuana traveling to Morelia, with Edgar Castillo and Joe Corona back in the fold and in line to start (8 pm ET, Azteca America).

Greg Garza will be hoping Castillo’s return doesn’t relegate him to the bench, while young forward Paul Arriola is in the mix for some first team minutes, but Herculez Gomez will miss out through injury.

For Monterrey, US U-20 World Cup veteran Alonso Hernandez is likely to be again on the bench when Los Rayados host Toluca (8 pm ET, UniMas).

Later in the evening, Puebla face a trip south to face Chiapas FC, with DaMarcus Beasley likely to start and Michael Orozco Fiscal hoping for his first minutes of the season (10 pm ET, Univision Deportes).

On Sunday, Jose Torres and his struggling Tigres UANL side play Pumas UNAM in Mexico City (1 pm ET, Univision Deportes).

In Mexico’s second division, Marco Vidal’s Lobos BUAP host Atlético San Luis (Sat., 7 pm ET), while Jesus Padilla’s Dorados head northeast to face Correcaminos (9:30 pm ET).

On Saturday, Necaxa duo Sonny Guadarrama and Ventura Alvarado play away against Zacatepec (7 pm ET).

In Central America, FC Dallas loanee Moises Hernandez and his Saprissa side compete on Sunday in the final of the Copa Costa Rica (1 pm ET) ahead of the new league season – which begins next weekend.
