#MLSAllStar: The Day Before, as it happened

Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4

Another day is in the books here in Kansas City. All that's left to do now is play.

Here's what happened on Tuesday: The anticipation continues to build, all guests and the players are starting to feel the excitement. This city is ready.

We start at Sporting Park, where Roma conducted their first open training session of their stay. There was one guy in particular everyone was eager to see:

Kevin Strootman is one of Roma's marquee summer signings. He spoke about the change and preparations for the new season:

Similar to yesterday's press conference, Roma took the stage first, followed by the MLS crew. After lots of flights, car rides and a few last minute changes, the All-Stars were finally together:

The session wasn't what you would call "intense." A small-sided game to big goals preceded some media availability for the guys who weren't around yesterday. Yes, Jimmy Conrad found time to catch up with Landon Donovan:

After training many of the players remained in the Kansas City, Kan. area, with a group heading to Wyandotte High School for the dedication of two brand new futsal courts. Pretty awesome.

While Donovan, Besler, Collin and Henry spent time at the dedication, a few of their teammates had the chance to sample the Kansas Speedway thanks to Continental Tire. We can confirm, those cars do move fast:

Aurelien Collin has been going non-stop since the party started here in KC, and today was his big day. He stopped by Social HQ for a pre-AC78 Google+ Hangout:

Before we had a chance to give Collin a proper thank you, he was out the door on the way to his fashion show. It didn't disappoint.

Running concurrently to AC78's big debut, we welcomed a very special guest at Social HQ. The big news dropped around noon that the Columbus Crew would be coming under new ownership, and we were lucky enough to have Anthony Precourt in to conduct a Twitter Q+A on the @MLS handle. He did well.

While the action was heating up all across Downtown KC, a few of our friends were kind enough to throw a pool party. Thanks to The Offside Rules, Kick TV and Bumpy Pitch for a great time:

Things moved from the pool to Power & Light, where we saw our second big time concert in as many nights. Macklemore shut it down on Monday, and on Tuesday we were treated to the sweet sounds of Silversun Pickups.

So tomorrow's the big day, we hope you're ready. Talk to you then.
