Dan Gargan follows up Earthquakes' 1-0 victory over Sounders with Twitter smack talk | THE SIDELINE
WARNING: The following tweets you are about to read are not suitable for fans of winning gracefully, or weak Twitter banter.
Judging by his 1,536 followers (at time of this post), most Major League Soccer fans — and even San Jose Earthquakes fans — are apparently unaware that defender Dan Gargan is on Twitter. Judging by his verbal venom spewed Sunday morning — hours after the Earthquakes' 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders — and Monday afternoon, more people should follow Dan Gargan on Twitter.
Take it away, Dan:
I wonder if Victor made it home safely last night with Eddie stuck in his back pocket. #thoughtsonasundaymorning

For those asking about Alonso... I told him that a Cuban sandwich could never touch a proper Philly Cheesesteak. He got upset.

That's Quakes defender Victor Bernardez, Sounders forward Eddie Johnson and midfielder Osvaldo Alonso that Dan is talking about, for those not on first name bases with these guys.
For the record, San Jose and Seattle have already played their three regular-season matchups for 2013. Record advantage: Earthquakes, 2-1-0. Aggregate score advantage: Sounders, 4-2. Here's hoping both teams make late-season pushes into the fourth and fifth playoff places and meet one another in a single-game Knockout Round matchup.
