Andrew Weber is back in Major League Soccer. The 29-year-old goalkeeper has rejoined the Seattle Sounders — the most recent of his three stops in MLS — on loan from USL PRO side Phoenix FC, the MLS club announced on Thursday.

The Sounders find themselves suddenly thin behind starter Michael Gspurning, with Marcus Hahnemann nursing a hamstring injury and Josh Ford still on the Disabled List recovering from a fractured kneecap. League pool goalkeeper Doug Herrick has also been in Seattle camp.

Weber spent the 2012 season with Sounders as a backup 'keeper, making three starts in league play and five starts across all competitions. Prior to that, he spent three seasons with San Jose, where the Sounders are headed on Saturday (10:30 pm ET, MLS Free Stream of the Week).

The Austin, Texas, native began his pro career with D.C. United back in 2005. He has made 14 appearances for first-year franchise Phoenix FC this season with a 1.48 goals-against average.

Per MLS and club policy, terms of his loan were not disclosed.
