Rumor Central: Former Spain star Marcos Senna set for move to USA? | THE SIDELINE

Former Spanish national team standout Marcos Senna could be on his way to the United States, according to the official website of his current club, Villarreal.

Senna, who has established himself as a club legend after 11 seasons and 363 appearances across all competitions with the Yellow Submarine – including a run to the Champions League semifinals in 2006 – will bid goodbye to the team on Wednesday after helping guide them back to the top flight, and Villarreal says his next stop will be the US.

The Brazilian-born former Spain international, who turns 37 in July, made 28 appearances for the Spanish national team after receiving Spanish citizenship in 2006. He went on to feature for his adopted country in the 2006 World Cup and was a key cog in their run to the Euro 2008 title, where he was named to the Team of the Tournament.

The report did not specify which US team Senna would play for.
