Chivas USA Designated Player Joseph in Sounders camp
"Who'll find a home for Shalrie Joseph?" has been one of the pressing questions of the preseason. And it looks like the answer — for Friday, at least — is the Sounders.
Joseph strolled into Seattle camp on Friday morning, according to several media reports and captured in all his Rave Green glory by Joshua Mayers of The Seattle Times:
Uhhh, Shalrie Joseph just walked into Sounders FC training... twitter.com/joshuamayers/s…

The Sounders confirmed to MLSsoccer.com on Friday that Joseph is indeed in training with the club but provided no further details. Chivas USA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
The longtime New England midfielder had a rough second half of 2012 after being traded Chivas USA, and was immediately on the outs with new Rojiblancos head coach José Luis "Chelís" Sánchez Solá this winter. Chelís has made no secret of his desire to move Joseph along to a new destintion.
Of course, that will require some doing, since Joseph is still under contract and takes up a DP slot. It's unclear at this time whether the Sounders are in active talks to acquire the veteran, who would presumably slot into the central midfield rotation next to the ever-present Osvaldo Alonso should he make the move to Seattle.
Regardless, there'll be more to come on this story. Stay tuned.
