Agent: Indiana star Zavaleta signs Generation adidas deal
Major League Soccer promised more signings of college underclassmen last week and it looks like we may have the first of those.
On Saturday morning, Ron Waxman tweeted out news of Indiana University forward Eriq Zavaleta penning a Generation adidas deal, which would ensure that Zavaleta is available for selection in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft that will be held on Thursday, January 17, at the NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis.
Congratulations to my newest client and newest #MLS Generation Adidas signing, Indiana U's Eriq Zavaleta @_air_riq_ who signed last night.

Major League Soccer is yet to confirm the deal.
Zavaleta, who helped Indiana capture its latest national title in December with the game-winning assist against Georgetown, would become the fifth member of a 2013 Generation adidas class that experts say features players ready to be MLS starters.
Furman's Walker Zimmerman, Louisville's Andrew Farrell, North Carolina's Mikey Lopez and Virginia Commonwealth University's Jason Johnson were all unveiled on Thursday.
