American Exports: Orozco Fiscal on San Luis transfer list
GUADALAJARA, Mexico – Michael Orozco Fiscal was made available for transfer by Liga MX club San Luis on Wednesday.
The defender lost his place in San Luis' starting XI this season just after scoring the only goal in the United States’ 1-0 victory over Mexico in August, which also coincided with Ecuadoran Alex Aguinaga replacing José Luis Trejo as manager.
Aguinaga left at the end of the season after San Luis finished 15th. Former Chivas coach Eduardo Fentanes was named the new manager on Tuesday, opening the possibility of more playing time for the 26-year-old next season.
But the upheaval at the club, which has just changed ownership, has not spared Orozco Fiscal and the defender was one of 10 players put up for sale by San Luis.
Orozco Fiscal has previously said he enjoyed his 2010 season in MLS with the Philadelphia Union and may be open to returning to the league under the right circumstances.
The Orange, Calif., native featured for the United States in the 2008 Olympics and debuted for San Luis in Mexico's first division in August of 2006.
