LONDON – Several Americans suited up overseas on Friday, with Mikkel Diskerud returning from injury as Rosenborg tentatively went top in Norway with a 2-0 victory over Sandnes Ulf.

The midfielder worked a solid full shift to help the Troll Kids move one point ahead of holders Molde FK, who play on Sunday. Rosenborg have now won three straight Tippeligaen games and five of six.

Over in the Bundesliga, Fabian Johnson went the distance in Hoffenheim's galling 3-3 draw with promoted guests Greuther Fürth. The hosts blew a lead three times in the match, including twice in the final six minutes.

One league below, Andrew Wooten worked 79 minutes in the unusual station of right wing as Sandhausen fell 3-1 away to his parent club, Kaiserslautern. The attacker's build work helped set up the visitors’ lone goal, which briefly tied the game on eight minutes.

John Anthony Brooks went all 90 as second-placed Hertha Berlin scored a 2-0 victory at VfL Bochum. Now unbeaten in eight, the Blue-Whites are within two points of the 2.Bundesliga perch.

Across the border in Denmark, Michael Parkhurst notched an assist on the late capper in FC Nordsjælland's 3-0 cruise past visiting Silkeborg. The US international grabbed a share of the Superliga lead with his sixth assist in 11 games as the defending champions climbed to within four points of the top spot.

Belgian Jupiler league action saw Sacha Kljestan remain a spectator as Anderlecht eased to a 2-0 win over Waasland-Beveren. Thanks to their fifth win in the last six home games, the champs tentatively pulled level on points with current leaders Club Brugge.

Next door in the Dutch second flight, Charles Kazlauskas returned to right back as second place Helmond Sport rallied from two down late for a 2-2 home draw with Go Ahead Eagles.
