American Exports: Tracy training with Union, says agent

AMSTERDAM – Former Aalborg BK striker Marcus Tracy is training with hometown side Philadelphia Union as he prepares to make a decision on his next employer.

The 25-year-old, who has missed nearly three years battling tendonitis in both knees, is finally rounding into shape. Sources have indicated to MLSsoccer.com that Tracy is currently weighing a Major League Soccer offer, with interest also coming out of Greece and Sweden. The Union declined to comment on the situation.

"We are hoping to have something finalized for him in the coming days," Tracy rep Lyle Yorks told MLSsoccer.com.

A Hermann Trophy winner at Wake Forest, Tracy made his Aalborg debut in the second leg of the 2009 UEFA Cup quarterfinals, going on to score twice in 15 Superliga outings. He was originally the Houston Dynamo's fourth round pick in the the MLS SuperDraft that same year, but they no longer hold his rights.
