AT&T GOTW update: McInerney's flick has huge lead
Who knew Danny Welbeck played in MLS?
Philadelphia Union forward Jack McInerney channeled his best impression of the Manchester United striker and English international with a deft heel-flick goal to give Philly a 1-0 lead over the LA Galaxy last Wednesday and currently holds a commanding lead on the final day of voting.
A brilliant run by fellow Goal of the Week nominee Michael Farfan down the right flank set up the go-ahead goal as McInerney was able to flick the ball to the far post and out of the reach of an outstretched Josh Saunders.
If the results hold, it would be the first Goal of the Week nod for Philadelphia this season, and the first since Roger Torres in Week 20 of last season.
There's still time to voice your opinion. Cast your ballot before voting ends on Thursday at 11:59 pm PT. The winner is determined by the total number of votes cast online and via text and is announced on Fridays. Here's how the voting stands as of Thursday morning:

3. Danny Mwanga (POR), 17%
4. Danny Koevermans (TOR), 9%
