AMSTERDAM — With loan suitors still popping up across Europe, the agent for Sochaux forward Charlie Davies says his client will soon find out where he'll spend the rest of the season.

In addition to continued interest from one Ligue 2 club and one in Denmark's SAS Liga, the 25-year-old now has another French team and one each in the top flights of Norway and Turkey calling about his availability.

"We should know this week whether he will play at Sochaux or go out on a loan," Davies' rep, Lyle Yorks, told MLSsoccer.com on Monday. "But they are happy with him and he's come back a different player than when he left here. The time in Major League Soccer really helped him."

Davies has yet to dress since returning to Les Lionceaux in January following a season on loan to D.C. United that saw him ring up 11 goals. As the American has been out of action since last fall, Sochaux boss Mehmed Bazdarevic has been starting him in reserve matches to build his match fitness.

Complicating the decision over Davies is the threat of Sochaux falling into Ligue 2 for the first time since 1999. Now standing next-to-bottom, the team have lost four straight and are winless in seven league games.

"They have a new manager and they're in the relegation zone, so they need to decide on how they're going to play the rest of the season," noted Yorks.

Having been off last weekend when Coupe de France play took center stage in France, Sochaux head west to tackle Lorient on Saturday.
