Beckham says reports of PSG signing are "premature"
David Beckham is always front-page news. On Wednesday, in France, the papers say the LA Galaxy star has agreed to join Paris-Saint Germain.
But a spokesman for Beckham's representatives, 19 Entertainment, issued a statement late on Tuesday night, denying the claims.
"No agreement has been reached with any club yet, talks of a deal are premature," the statement said. "David has yet to make a final decision on his future."
The statement was released in the wake of Sports Daily L'Equipe has Beckham on the cover with the headline: "All set for Beckham." Le Parisien's cover reads: "He has said yes." All the reports said he was due to make about $1 million a month for an 18-month contract.
Meanwhile, the MLS Cup-winning Galaxy have consistently said they are fighting to re-sign Beckham, whose initial five-year contract with the club comes to an end this year.
