MLS announces preseason tournament schedule

NEW YORK – Major League Soccer announced Tuesday that MLS preseason training camps may officially open on Jan. 15, 2012. Not all teams will take the field on that day, but during the next two months, each club’s 2012 roster will begin take shape in advance of the start of the 2012 season, March 10-12.
Fourteen of the 19 MLS clubs will participate in domestic preseason tournaments the weekend prior to First Kick. The four tournaments that will host multiple MLS clubs are outlined below, with all times ET.
