RSL's Rimando takes MLS Save of the Week

For Real Salt Lake, there was little to like about the 3-0 loss to the Chicago Fire at Rio Tinto Stadium. But add Nick Rimando to the short list of things that went well.

The RSL netminder's diving parry of red-hot Dominic Oduro's 43rd-minute shot to the far post has earned him MLS Save of the Week honors in Week 29.

Already ahead 2-0, the Fire were able to earn a 3-on-3 breakway in RSL's half. Marco Pappa spread the ball wide to Oduro inside the box, and Rimando reacted well to fall to his right and palm away the Ghanaian's ripped shot.

It is the second time Rimando has won the award this year, edging out New York 'keeper Greg Sutton in Week 1 for the honors. Rimando again won in a close race, his 42 percent of the vote just enough to stave off Kasey Keller, who garnered 37 percent.
