This or That: Beckham's free kick or Henry's golazo?
Welcome to the latest installment of MLSsoccer.com's "This or That?" It's as simple as it gets: You choose one of two things. Sometimes you might want a third option or a "both" option, but that's not the point. The point is to present either/or question and find out where people's opinions lie.
David Beckahm will go down as a soccer legend, and what he'll be best remembered for is his ability to strike a free kick. There have been movies about it, scientists have analyzed it, and his peers have marveled at his ability to bend the ball over, around and sometimes through a wall and into the back of the net.
Thierry Henry can strike a mean set-piece himself, but the Frenchman's most remarkable quality has always been his grace on the pitch. Bigger, stronger and faster than most everyone else on the field, Henry nonetheless has always played a game of refined touches and subtle movements.
They've both shown their best here in MLS this season, Beckham with a 25-yard scorcher against Sporting KC, and Henry with a pirouette-and-finish in the box this past weekend against Toronto FC.
Which is your favorite?
