The international transfer window is officially closed, but that doesn't mean the news still won't be flowing out of Europe. As of 6 pm ET, here was the latest. Check back throughout the evening to see the latest movement and news.

NEWS - 5:24 pm ET: Marc Pelosi. MLSsoccer.com has learned that US Under-17 skipper will join Liverpool's academy, with just paperwork formalities left to complete the fully agreed move.

The deal will not be made official before the transfer deadline, but as Pelosi is a free agent, his arrival will be unaffected by the window closing.

Pelosi originally revealed the Reds offer to Top Drawer Soccer in early July. The wingback was also scouted by AS Roma this summer. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 5:15 pm ET: Jonathan de Guzman. It has been confirmed that the prodigal Canadian attacking midfielder — younger brother of Toronto FC's Julian de Guzman — has joined Villarreal from Mallorca on a reported $12.2 million deal.

The 23-year-old chose to represent the Netherlands at U-23 and U-21 levels, but hasn't figured with the full Dutch national side and can still wear the Canadian colors should he so choose. Reports earlier this year had him leaving the door open for an appearance with the Canucks, but nothing has yet come of it. (STAFF)

NEWS - 5:06 pm ET: Brad Guzan. It's beginning to look like Guzan will still be with Aston Villa when the transfer window closes — but that doesn't necessarily mean the netminder is stuck there backing up Shay Given until winter.

MLSsoccer.com has learned that sudden shoppers QPR made some calls about the former Chivas USA man this week, and he continues to have a few admirers in the Championship.

Guzan spent much of last season on loan to Hull City, with both of the separate loan deals completed outside the transfer windows. While his agent Richard Motzkin would not confirm any details, he admitted that Guzan remains on the lookout for a chance to start somewhere

"Whether something happens before or after the transfer deadline, the important thing is Brad gets playing time," Motzkin told MLSsoccer.com. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 3:48 pm ET: Tony Taylor. The former US U-20 forward has left Portuguese second-flight side Estoril to join derby rivals Atlético CP on a season-long loan.

Taylor, who scored five times in 18 contests for Estoril, often struggled for playing time over his 18 months with the club due to injuries and the typical adaptation process needed by new pros in foreign lands.

"We believe Tony is a very talented player," said Fernando Clavijo, one of Taylor's reps. "He just needed to find the right place to play. To come from college and play just a few games for the national team, playing in the second division here isn't easy. But I think he made the most of his time [at Estoril]. He's really improved."

Unbeaten through the first two games of the new Liga de Honra season, Atlético CP are next in action on Sunday at Santa Clara. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 3:18 pm ET: Gale Agbossoumonde. The US defender has officially completed a loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt II. Before coming aboard for the season, the center back had trained with the second teams of Bayer Leverkusen and FC Cologne.

The Eintracht U-23 reserve team is currently fourth in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Süd through four games. In this league, Agbossoumonde should have occasion to run up against countrymen - including Karlsruhe II's Parker Walsh, and the Hoffenheim II duo of Jospeh Gyau and Charles Renken. SIGNED - 1:48 pm ET: Villyan Bijev. The US youth international striker, who joined Premier League side Liverpool from the California Odyssey in July, has gone out on loan to German side Fortuna Dusseldorf. He was originally supposed to go on loan to Jupiler League side Genk until the Belgian club asked Liverpool for money to take him. (STAFF)

NEWS - 12:43 pm ET: Josh Simpson. Again with the Canadians. The 28-year-old Simpson, currently with Turkish club Manisaspor, is being chased by Hertha Berlin, Enitracht Frankfurt, and Kaiserslautern, according to his agent. This was confirmed with sources in Germany. Simpson played for Kaiserslautern from 2006 to 2009, and it is understood that die roten Teufel (the Red Devils) have the upperhand for his signature right now. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

REJECTED - 12:24 pm ET: Kevin McKenna. One more Canadian update here. Bundesliga side FC Cologne have turned down an offer from APOEL, the Cypriot minnows who have reached the UEFA Champions League group stage, for McKenna. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 12:16 pm ET: Rob Friend. The Canadian striker, who has been with Hertha Berlin since 2010, has joined 2.Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

"We have completed a loan deal to Frankfurt for the season," Friend's agent, Dr. Andreas Kirsch, told MLSsoccer.com. "If they go up, he gets a two-year contract. He could have gone back to 'Gladbach, but this Frankfurt deal was very good."

In all, five clubs were chasing the 30-year-old Friend, including Augsburg, Kaiserslautern, Duisburg, and Borussia Monchengladbach, where he spent four seasons from 2007-10. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 11:56 am ET: Issey Nakajima-Farran. This was actually done yesterday, but the Canadian midfielder has gone Down Under, completing a move from Danish club AC Horsens to the Brisbane Roar in the A-League. (STAFF)

NEWS - 11:38 am ET: Clint Dempsey. A source close to AS Roma says the Serie A club will not be bidding on Dempsey today, despite the fact that yesterday, MLSsoccer.com learned, the Giallorossi were interested in the US international. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

NEWS - 11:28 am ET: Brad Guzan. A source close to the US goalkeeper says he's exploring options today. Guzan is currently under contract with Aston Villa but he was loaned out last season to Hull City, where he made 16 appearances before returning to Villa in April. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

NEWS - 11:25 am ET: Gale Agbossoumonde. Agbossoumonde's loan to Eintracht Frankfurt appears to be for the second team, which plays in the fourth flight. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

NEWS - 11 am ET: Jermaine Jones. Promoted Premier League side Queens Park Rangers is showing late interest in Schalke midfielder Jermaine Jones, MLSsoccer.com has learned.

The US international did not take part in Miners training on Wednesday, having left town to try and seal a move abroad. He becomes the second American called in QPR's last-ditch quest for another central midfielder, joining Rangers mainstay Maurice Edu.

Jones was not listed in the Bundesliga's deadline day list of players possibly making moves to German clubs - a system to help the visa office from being overrun by transfer cases at the last minute. As such, any Wednesday switch for the midfielder will be to a club in another country.

Thus far this season, Jones has appeared in but one league match and one DfB Cup contest. The 29-year-old Frankfurt native spent the back half of last season on loan to Blackburn Rovers. (GREG SELTZER/Amsterdam)

SIGNED - 10 am ET: Mike Grella. The 24-year-old striker has signed with League One side Brentford after his contract was canceled with Leeds United. Grella was loaned out to the Bees last week on an "emergency loan" and has already made two appearances and scored a goal.

"When I heard Brentford were interested and with Uwe Rösler being the manager, for me it was a no-brainer to come here," Grella told the Brentford website. "I came down to train, met the manager, met the guys and couldn't be more comfortable and be more happy with the move."

Grella joined Leeds in 2009, made 42 appearances and scored five goals. (STAFF)

SIGNED - 9:30 am ET: Michael Bradley. The US international's move to Serie A side Chievo is official. The 24-year-old was introduced to the fans through a video Q&A shot from the hills overlooking Verona. Looks nice. (STAFF)
