AMSTERDAM — Tom Tomsk loan forward Eugene Starikov worked 84 solid minutes under Friday night lights, but the home side conceded twice in the late going to settle for a 2-2 draw with Lokomotiv Moscow.

After withstanding heavy early pressure, Tomsk drew first blood against the run of play thanks to a 14th-minute own-goal. A back post cross headed for Starikov was stabbed into his own net by Lokomotiv defender Renat Yanbayev.

Shortly after the former Stetson University ace came agonizingly close to making it two with a header, teammate Maksim Kanunnikov did the deed by burying a stray rebound in the 37th minutes.

However, Senijad Ibricic pulled one back for the visitors 17 minutes from time and a fine lash from the top of the area by Vladislav Ignatyev knotted the contest seven minutes later.

Ninth-place Tom Tomsk will get back to work quickly by hosting Spartak Moscow on Tuesday.
