Shea's late stunner wins AT&T Goal of the Week

Call it luck or call it skill, but make sure to call it the Goal of the Week.

The chip shot from Brek Shea that stunned the LA Galaxy last Sunday and set off a wave of questions about the FC Dallas midfielder’s intentions on the play won over the fans this week, garnering nearly 33 percent of the vote en route to being named to AT&T Goal of the Week.

Shea – who later insisted that he meant to shoot over Galaxy goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts in the 2-1 FC Dallas win – easily topped Chivas USA’s Marcos Mondaini, whose acrobatic right-footed volley was his first in MLS and helped the Goats top New England, 3-0.
