The Chicago Fire's goal on the field is to play hard and win. Its goal off the field is to contribute to the quality of life in Chicago and its surrounding communities. Through the Chicago Fire Foundation, the Fire is able to give back to the community by developing programs that reach out to Chicagoland's community. Since 1998, the Chicago Fire Foundation, the charitable arm of the Chicago Fire Major League Soccer team, has made significant contributions to enhance the lives of disadvantaged youth throughout Chicagoland. Each year, the Chicago Fire Foundation renews its commitment to improve the quality of life for youth and communities throughout Chicagoland by promoting health and wellness, education and the environment. The Foundation also supports organizations that share this vision so as to further extend the investment needed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our children. The FC Dallas Foundation is focused in three areas: build future soccer professionals; promote healthy, active children; and support disadvantaged youth. We would like to build Future Soccer Professionals by offering referee scholarships to teens ages 14 to 18. The FC Dallas Foundation seeks to Promote Healthy, Active Children by our involvement with fitness initiatives aimed at spotlighting childhood obesity. Dynamo Charities is the charitable arm of the Houston Dynamo. We believe in using the power of the Dynamo and the sport of soccer to support our community. The purpose of the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation is to assist a variety of charitable organizations and programs by supporting their educational, family and health initiatives. In particular, the Revolution will attempt to target our activities specifically towards youth programs and programs with close ties to the game of soccer. The New England Revolution Charitable Foundation is the nonprofit organization through which the Revolution support charitable and philanthropic organizations throughout New England. This support comes in the form of both direct grants and in-kind donations of tickets and Revolution memorabilia used at charity fundraisers and through a select number of player appearances at charity functions and educational programs. New York City Football Club was born from a commitment to the community, which began in 2010 with East Harlem's Lexington Academy. The syntheric grass rooftop field provided the first of its kind in Manhattan and continues to provide football opportunities to the elementary school and its students. The field is just one part of the story; as the Club grows, so does its community work. The New York Red Bulls support the community through the Kicks for Kids program, player appearances and donations.The Kicks for Kids programs began in 1996 in an effort to assist Major League Soccer teams with reaching out to various local charities that serve at-risk and disadvantaged children. We support organizations that use soccer as a developmental and learning tool - those who teach the benefits of strong leadership, teamwork, communication skills, as well as the importance of good healthy and fair play. The MLSE Team Up Foundation believes all kids should have access to sport and the opportunity to develop lasting dreams on the playing field. With the support of all four MLSE teams - the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC and Toronto Marlies - the Foundation funds the refurbishment of local athletic facilities and programs that support kids through sports and recreation.
