Let’s Move! and the PALA + Program
During the 2012 season, Active Bodies Active Minds will continue to support First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign, and will work with the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition to include the PALA+ Program to promote the importance of living a healthy lifestyle.
MLS supports the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award and encourages you to be active every day! All it takes is 60 minutes for children and teens and 30 minutes for adults. To achieve the Presidential Active Lifestyle Award log onto www.presidentschallenge.org to track your daily activity achievements and eating behaviors for 6 out of 8 weeks, five days a week.
Check out the President’s Challenge Featured Activities to add new physical activities to your routine. Also check out the BMI (Body Mass Index) Calculator to learn about the relationship between height and weight and make sure that your body stays healthy.
