2008: Was voted FCD's Defender of the Year by members of the local media and was also recognized as the team's Humanitarian of the Year for his work within the community…Finished the season third among Dallas field players behind only Kenny Cooper and Drew Moor with 2,252 minutes played…Made two of his 25 starts at central defense in games versus the Chicago Fire on Sept. 4 and D.C. United on Sept. 13…the rest of his starts were in defensive midfield…Wore the captain's armband on Sept. 13 at D.C. United…Received the first two red cards of his MLS career and will be suspended for the first regular season game of 2009…Scored in friendly versus Atletico Paranaense on March 22.

2000-2005: was transferred to Spanish First Division club Real Valladolid, where he played 110 games through 2005…made first team debut on Aug. 10, 2000 vs. Mallorca in 1-1 game…scored first goal on Aug. 18, 2001 in 3-2 win over Peruggia.

1998-2000: transferred to Colon, also of the Argentine First Division, where he played in 62 games over two seasons.

1985-1998: At seven years old, Ricchetti joined the youth-system of famed-Argentine club River Plate. He remained with the club for 14 years, advancing to the first team in 1996 and making his first-team debut for River Plate in Feb. 1998 versus Lanus…After six months as a regular including playing in Copa Libertadores games, filling in for Hernan Diaz who had been away with the National Team, he was transferred to Colon.

 

International

Was a member of the Argentina U-20 team in 1996-97…also took part in the U-23 team's pre-Olympic games in 2000 under head coach Jose Pekerman.

 

Personal

His family joined the River Plate club when he was three years old…he played soccer and roller hockey at River Plate until the age of 10, when he committed full-time to soccer…attended a catholic grade school, Santa Isabela from age 6 to 14...then finished school at the River Plate school from 15-17 years old…considers his time as teammates with Spanish legend Eusabio at Vallodolid as one of his best soccer memories… his grandfather on father's side was born in Italy, and Pablo became an Italian citizen at age 17… his grandfather was in the Argentine Military… enjoys playing golf and pool, and watching rugby and football… volunteers his time with the Miracle League of Frisco… full name is Pablo Javier Ricchetti… writes his kids names on cleats, also wears anklet with initials of his three kids… Is married to Silvina, and has three sons, Tomas, Lucas, and Matias.
