MLS EXPERIENCE
2009: Traded back to Toronto FC on 2/24 in exchange for a draft pick and allocation money … Became regular starter for Toronto at center back, making 26 appearances and 25 starts while scoring two goals for the first time in his career … Assisted on close friend Dwayne De Rosario’s goal in 1-1 tie vs. FCD on 4/11 … One week alter, scored a one-touch goal from close range following a corner kick in 3-2 loss at FCD on 4/19 … Headed in an Amado Guevara free kick to give Toronto a 2-1 lead in topsy-turvy 3-3 tie at DC on 5/9 … Came on as a substitute but was later red-carded for shoving Omar Cummings off a loose ball as the last man in a 1-0 loss at COL on 9/5 as Toronto finished with nine players … Canadian Championship: Started three of four games as Toronto won its first title in the tournament’s second year … Played 90 minutes in 1-0 win vs. Montreal on 5/13 … Started and played 90 minutes in 2-0 loss at Vancouver on 6/2 … Started and played 64 minutes in 6-1 win at Montreal on 6/18 that lifted Toronto to Canadian Championship on goal differential … Champions League: Did not play in either game of qualifying series against Puerto Rico due to injury … Toronto lost, 1-0 on aggregate.

2008: Made 24 starts for FC Dallas, notching a career high four assists … Split time between defense and midfield … Set up Kenny Cooper for second goal in 2-0 win vs. NY on 4/12 … Ejected in 5-1 loss vs. LA on 5/18 … Assisted on Jeff Cunningham goal in 2-1 loss at CLB on 8/16 … Assisted on Marcelo Saragosa goal that gave Dallas a 1-0 lead on 10/18 at RSL, but FCD lost 3-1 … Set up Drew Moor’s goal in 2-2 tie at LA on 10/26 … Open Cup: Did not play as Dallas reached quarterfinals.

2007: Selected by Toronto FC in the MLS Expansion Draft on November 17, 2006, but was traded to FC Dallas later that day in exchange for Ronnie O’Brien … Had knee surgery on 2/20 to repair Osteochronditis Dessicans, a bruise to the inside of the femur that was caused as a result of repetitive smaller injuries … Made his first appearance for Dallas when he started vs. DC on 7/14 … Left game with hamstring strain on 8/11 … Started at center back vs. CHI on 9/20 but moved to defensive midfield for the second half after an injury to Pablo Ricchetti … Made same move at LA on 9/23 … Started the final three regular season games in the middle of the field … Playoffs: Faced Dynamo in 2007 Western Conference semifinals, starting both games … Set up only goal in 1-0 FCD win in first leg on 10/27 with a long throw-in … Played 80 minutes in second leg, a 4-1 Houston win in extra time … Open Cup: Appeared in three games, including two starts, as Dallas reached the final before losing to the New England Revolution … SuperLiga: Started all three games as Dallas was eliminated in the group stage.

2006: Acquired by the Dynamo in the preseason from the New York Red Bulls in exchange for Danny O’Rourke … Appeared in 20 regular season, including 15 starts, and scored one goal … Started all four games in the Dynamo’s run to the MLS Cup title … Began year by starting each of the Dynamo’s first seven games but then missed two months and nine games after surgery on his left big toe … Returned to regular duty at center back alongside Eddie Robinson for most of the season … Scored only goal in 3-1 loss at RSL on 8/19 … Playoffs: Started all four playoff games in run to championship … Moved to defensive midfield for the MLS Cup final on 11/12 after Ricardo Clark was suspended due to yellow card accumulation … Played 114 minutes as Dynamo won title in shootout … Open Cup: Started all three games and helped Dynamo reach semifinals.
