2013: Made a career-high 29 league appearances, including a career-high 26 starts (24 starts at left back and two at left midfield). Scored one goal and added five assists (including two game-winning assists). Missed the season opener in Chicago (March 9) while continuing to rehab from a left ankle sprain suffered on Feb. 13 against Seattle in a preseason match. Made his season debut as a second-half sub at left midfield at Philadelphia (March 16). Earned his first start of 2013 at Seattle (April 13) at left back and was the team’s day-to-day left back the remainder of the season. Served as team captain against New York (April 20) and Philadelphia (April 27). Missed the game in Portland (May 2) because of a retroactive one-game suspension handed down by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for a 90th-minute tackle on Philly’s Sebastien Le Toux that was deemed only a foul by referee Baldomero Toledo at the time. Recorded his first assist of the season – and claimed sole possession of 10th place on the club’s career assist charts – with a cross on Diego Fagundez’s goal against New York (May 11). Moved to third place all-time in game-winning assists with his ninth against Toronto (May 25) on Fagundez’s goal. Recorded an assist on Juan Agudelo’s goal at Vancouver (June 15), which pushed him into a tie for eighth place on the Revs’ career assist chart . Made 117th appearance against Houston (July 13) to move to 10th all in the club’s career chart. Missed the Colorado match (July 17) with knee irritation, but started the match at Columbus (July 20) at left midfield, his first start there since Oct. 27, 2012. Recorded an assist at D.C. (July 27) on Dimitry Imbongo’s goal, moving him into eighth place on the Revs’ career assist chart. Matched his best single-season assist mark when he recorded his fifth assist of the year on Juan Agudelo’s goal against Chicago (Aug. 17) which went on to finish third in MLS goal-of-the-year voting and won Revolution goal of the year honors. Scored from the penalty spot against Columbus (Oct. 19), his first goal of the season and his first-career PK goal. Later left the game with a right ankle injury that caused him to miss the final game of the season at Columbus (Oct. 27) and the team’s two MLS Cup Playoff matches against Sporting Kansas City. Made two substitute appearances in the U.S. Open Cup, both coming at left midfield. Scored one goal in a 20-minute substitute appearance against New York (June 12) in the fourth round.

2012: Made 28 appearances, including 26 starts: 24 at left back and two starts (and two substitute appearances) at left midfield. Scored two goals and his five assists co-lead the team with Kelyn Rowe. His three game-winning assists led the team. Posted new season highs in games played (28) and assists (5), and matched his previous career high in starts (26). Missed the season opener at San Jose (March 10) while serving a red-card suspension stemming from the 2011 regular-season finale. Returned to the lineup at left back at Kansas City (March 17). Assisted Saer Sene’s first-minute goal against Portland (March 24), his sixth-career game-winning assist. Scored the game-winning goal in the 13th minute at LA (March 31). Recorded his second assist of the season against Vancouver (May 12), the throw-in into space on Lee Nguyen’s turn-around, half-volley from distance. Nguyen’s goal went on to the final four of MLS’ AT&T Goal of the Year voting. Recorded his third assist of the season on A.J. Soares’ goal off of a corner kick at D.C. (May 26). Moved into fifth place on the club’s all-time corner kicks list after recording his 121st career corner kick against Chicago (June 2). Scored his second goal of the year on a 94th-minute equalizer at Toronto (June 23). Recorded the game-winning assist – his 15th career assist - on Lee Nguyen’s goal against New York (July 8). Started at left midfield for the first time in 2012 at Kansas City (July 21), but returned to left back at Philadelphia (July 29). Sat out the match against Philadelphia (Sept. 1) as a precaution with hamstring tightness. Made his 100th career appearance in a substitute appearance at left midfield against Columbus (Sept. 5), becoming the 18th Revolution player in club history to make 100 appearances for the team. Traveled to D.C. (Sept. 15), but missed the match after picking up left knee and hamstring injuries in training the day before and then missed three games (from Sept. 22 against New York through Oct. 6 at Philadelphia) with the injuries. Returned to action with a substitute appearance at left midfield against Chicago (Oct. 20). Recorded his fifth assist of the season and third game-winning assist of the year on A.J. Soares’ 88th-minute goal off of a free kick at Montreal (Oct. 27). Also made one MLS Reserve League appearance, starting at left midfield and captaining the squad against Toronto’s reserves (Sept. 7).

2011: Made 27 regular-season appearances (tying a career-best), including 25 starts. Scored two goals and finished second on the team with four assists, again matching his best season effort. Both of his goals were free-kick goals. Made 13 MLS starts at left midfield and 12 MLS starts at left back, but played six different positions (in all competitions) in games this season: left back, right back, left midfield, center midfield, defensive center midfield and center back (USOC). Missed two games with injuries (June 26 at Seattle with a left foot contusion, and Aug. 20 vs. New York with a left foot sprain) and one through suspension. Started at left back against Colorado (May 7), and then moved into the defensive center midfield in the 75th minute while helping to post the team’s first shutout of the season. Scored his first goal of the season on his first-career free-kick goal at San Jose (May 21). Recorded his first assist of the season at New York (June 10), on Zak Boggs’ goal. Scored his second goal of the season on a long-range free kick at Real Salt Lake (July 4); played three positions in the game: started at left midfield, moved to left back at halftime, then to right back in the 86th minute. Started at left back and played the first half in the friendly against Manchester United (July 13). Recorded the game-winning assist on Stephen McCarthy’s headed goal at D.C. (July 20) to snap the team’s record-tying nine-game winless streak. Was issued his first career straight red card at Colorado (July 23) and missed the match at Kansas City (July 30) while serving a mandatory one-game red-card suspension. Recorded a career-best two assists at Philadelphia (Sept. 7), his first multiple-assist effort of his career. Played left back in the final five games of the season starting Sept. 25 at Chicago. Picked up a second yellow card and subsequent red card in season finale at Toronto (Oct. 22). Made one appearance in the MLS Reserve League, captaining the team and picking up an assist on the team’s lone goal against D.C. (March 26) while playing left wing and central midfield in the game. Started at left back and captained the team in the club’s U.S. Open Cup Play-In round match at D.C. (April 26), finishing the game at center back.

2010: Made a career-high 27 MLS appearances (26 starts - 13 at left midfield, three at central midfield, seven at left back and three at right back), recording one goal and a career-high four assists, the second-highest total on the team. Led the club – and tied for seventh in MLS – in game-winning assists with three. His 2,238 minutes played were also second on the team. Played seven different positions – a league high in 2010 – during the season: left midfield, left back, right back, center back, central midfield, defense central midfield and attacking central midfield. Picked up the game-winning assist against D.C. United (April 3) in the 80th minute with a cross from the left corner to Kenny Mansally. Was a late scratch against FC Dallas (May 1) with a left knee sprain. Made first start of his career at central midfield against Chivas USA (May 5). Recorded his second game-winning assist of the season when Pat Phelan converted his free kick against D.C. (Aug. 7). Made his first MLS start at right back against Houston (Aug. 14), and then moved there from left midfield in the 40th minute against Philly (Aug. 28) after Cory Gibbs was ejected. Scored his first career MLS goal on Sept. 4, potting the game-tying goal against Seattle in the second half. His angled pass out of the backfield at Dallas (Sept. 22), connected with Shalrie Joseph for the team’s first goal of the match. Lined up at right back to start against Real Salt Lake (Oct. 2), playing 74 minutes there before moving to left back in a three-man backline for the final 15 minutes. After playing left back at Houston (Oct. 10), returned to right back against Kansas City (Oct. 16), picking up the game-winning assist on Shalrie Joseph’s first-half goal. Played center back in the team’s U.S. Open Cup play-in match against New York (May 12). Made five appearances, including four starts, in SuperLiga, playing left back against Pumas UNAM (July 14) and Chicago (July 17), right back against Monarcas Morelia (July 20) and left midfield against Morelia (Sept. 1) in the championship. Came on as a late sub at left midfield against Puebla (Aug. 4), and converted the third penalty kick of the Revs’ 5-3 shootout win.

2009: Made 14 regular-season appearances - including 13 starts - splitting his time as a left-sided defender and left midfielder. Recorded two assists. Overall, made 19 appearances, including U.S. Open Cup and SuperLiga. Earned his first assist of the season at Toronto (May 23), setting up Shalrie Joseph’s 12th-minute goal with a cross from the left wing. Was set to start at left back against LA (July 4), but suffered a left knee sprain in training the day before the game and was forced out of the lineup. Also missed the 0-0 draw with Kansas City (July 11) because of the injury, but returned to the starting lineup for the 2-0 win over Chivas USA (July 19) and assisted on Kheli Dube’s game-winning goal in the 61st minute. Made his only substitute appearance of the season in the playoff-clinching, 1-0 win over Columbus (Oct. 25), entering the match in stoppage time. Started at left back and played the entire 120 minutes of the 2-1, extra-time loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders of USL-2 (June 30). Appeared in all four matches in SuperLiga and recorded one assist. Made his only start in the semifinal against Chicago (July 15) on the left side of defense and assisted on Edgaras Jankauskas’ 44th-minute goal in the 2-1 loss. Appeared in all three matches in the group stage as a late substitute at left midfield.

2008: Made six regular-season appearances, including four starts at left back. Recorded one assist in MLS action. Overall, made 14 appearances, including regular season, U.S. Open Cup, SuperLiga, CONCACAF Champions League and MLS Cup Playoffs. Made his MLS and Revolution debut on June 21 at Real Salt Lake, entering in the 77th minute and slotting into a left midfield position. Earned his first MLS start on Aug. 9 against Chicago, playing on the left side of a four-man backline. Followed up with a start at Toronto (Aug. 23) at left back as he recorded his first-career MLS assist on Taylor Twellman's 35th-minute goal. Made three appearances, including two starts, in SuperLiga. Started at left back against Pachuca (July 16), marking his first professional start at Gillette Stadium, and against Houston (Aug. 5) in the final. Scored the Revs' fifth penalty kick in the 6-5 shootout victory in the final against the Dynamo. Was the only member of the Revs to play all 180 minutes in the two-leg series against Joe Public in the CONCACAF Champions League. Also made two starts at left midfield in the U.S. Open Cup, recording two assists - both against Richmond (July 1). Also scored the Revs' third penalty kick in the shootout victory over Crystal Palace Baltimore (July 8) in the quarterfinals. In addition to first-team action, made eight appearances with the Revs' reserve team, including seven starts. Scored one goal while playing central midfield, attacking midfield, left midfield and left back. Played in four reserve matches before signing with the team. Started Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinal Series against Chicago, before suffering a sprained knee in training the following week and missing Game 2.

College: Appeared in 79 games with the Cavaliers, starting 38, scoring 11 goals and adding 16 assists in his four-year career … as a senior, scored a career-high seven goals, and assisted on seven more … voted to the 2007 ACC All-Tournament team … helped the Cavs advance to the NCAA College Cup in 2006 for the first time since 1997.
