Jewsbury was acquired in a preseason trade with Sporting Kansas City on March 1, 2011, in exchange for allocation money. The nine-year MLS veteran captained the Timbers to the brink of an MLS Cup playoff berth and logged career highs in points, goals and assists in 2011. The Springfield, Mo., native has participated in two U.S. National Team camps during his career.

2012: Finished second on the team in games played (32), minutes played (2,765) and tied for third in scoring with 10 points from three goals and four assists ... Registered a multi-assist performance in a season-opening 3-1 win over Philadelphia on March 12, helping the club earn its first comeback win of its MLS era ... Played seven games at right back from May 5-July 3 ... Tallied the winning goal in a 2-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on July 3 at JELD-WEN Field ... Notched the equalizer in a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas Aug. 5, a goal that was nominated for MLS Goal of the Week for Week 22 ... Assisted the game-tying goal by Rodney Wallace in a 1-1 draw against Seattle Sounders FC on Sept. 15 at JELD-WEN Field ... Scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Oct. 21 at BC Place, giving the club its only road win of the season and clinching the Cascadia Cup - the club’s first as an MLS side ... The 35-yard strike was named the MLS Goal of the Week for Week 32 and the Timbers 2012 Play of the Year ... Was named to the MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week for Week 32 ... Led the team with two game-winning goals on the season ... Became the first Timbers MLS player to start 60 games for the club on Sept. 22 at Real Salt Lake ... 2011: Joined the Timbers in preseason following a trade with Sporting Kansas City on March 1 ... Named the club’s captain by head coach John Spencer on March 11 ... Set new career marks in points (22), goals (7) and assists (8) ... Was the only player in MLS in 2011 with multiple four-game points streaks (April 30-May 29 and July 30-Aug. 20) ... Became the Timbers’ first MLS All-Star when he was selected to represent MLS in the AT&T 2011 MLS All-Star Game against Manchester United on July 27 at Red Bull Arena ... Finished second on the team in minutes played, logging 2,790 across 31 games ... Recorded at least three points in each month spanning April to August ... Recorded an assist in four consecutive matches from April 30-May 21 - a club record ... 2009: Started all 28 of his appearances with Kansas City ... Notched five assists, good for second on the team ... Started all three 2009 SuperLiga matches, facing New England and Mexico’s Atlas and Santos Laguna.

2008: Appeared in 29 games (all starts) for Kansas City ... Missed just one game during the season due to yellow card accumulation ... Finished tied for the team lead with seven assists ... Proved to be versatile, playing right-sided midfield, right back and a central midfield role during the season ... Led the Wizards to a playoff appearance and the Eastern Conference semifinals ... COLLEGE: Played at powerhouse Saint Louis University (1999-2002) and finished 10th on the Billikens’ all-time scoring list with 101 career points (38 goals, 25 assists) ... Was a two-time All-American and crowned Confer­ence USA Player of the Year in 2000 ... Led the Billikens to four straight NCAA tournament appearances ... Earned all-conference honors three straight seasons 2000-02 ... Named to the school’s men’s soccer all-half century team in 2009 and inducted into the Billikens Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011.
