Bobby Burling

Returning to the team in August 2012, the 27-year-old Bobby Burling started his second stint in Red-and-White. The defender, who begins his seventh MLS season in 2013, was acquired in a trade with the Montreal Impact. Burling appeared in 3 games in 2012, all three as a starter.

The Clear Lake City, Texas native was drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2007 supplemental draft out of Loyola Marymount. Burling was signed by Chivas USA three months later where he made 23 appearances through the 2007-2009 seasons. Burling played with the San Jose Earthquakes before being picked in the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft by the Montreal Impact.

After four years at Loyola Marymount University, Burling finished an accomplished career ranked in the top six of the LMU records in goals, assists, and points ...
