VIDEO: The Hex series - Landon Donovan and Michael Bradley lead as USMNT prepare for Costa Rica | SIDELINE

The latest epsiode of KICKTV's fantastic series "The Hex," which follows the US national team on every stop of their 2012 and 2013 World Cup qualifing journeys, dropped on the Internet early Friday morning, only hours ahead of the USMNT's 10 pm ET matchup against Costa Rica (beIN Sport).

The series does a fantastic job setting the scene and telling the mood of fans in San Jose, Costa Rica, showing a little bit more of the now-famous dairy cow mascot from Wednesday and telling you exactly what Landon Donovan's USMNT teammates think of his return to the first team and World Cup qualifying. (Hint: They are happy.)

For a key contributor, someone who pulls no punches with his words, like Michael Bradley to come out and say, "If we want to play more than three games at a World Cup, we need Landon," speaks volumes of how his peers now view his off-season sabbatical that bled over into the start of 2013 qualifying. Rumors of displeasure over preferential treatment can probably be dismissed at this point.

It also can't hurt one bit that he's playing the best soccer that he's ever played in his already storied career.

Two other important notes worth pointing out in this episode of "The Hex:" Be on the look out for MLSsoccer.com's Andrew Wiebe — jean shorts and all — playing pickup games against the Costa Rican locals throughout the video. Also, watch until the very end. USMNT head coach Jurgen Klinsmann still has it.
