American Exports: USMNT midfielder Danny Williams signs with Championship club Reading
Danny Williams is leaving Germany behind, with recently relegated English Championship club Reading FC snatching up the US international.
The fee paid by Reading was not made public at time of the announcement, but it was revealed that Williams, 24, had signed a long-term contract until the summer of 2017. The transfer will be completed on July 1, following the finalization of proper paperwork and international clearances being granted.

"I am very excited to be here, I am really looking forward to the season and to try to get the club back to the Premier League," Williams told Reading's official website. "I spoke to the manager yesterday when I did my medicine check and he is a really great, nice guy. I'm looking forward to working with him, everything is perfect here."
The German-born Williams became a member of the US national team in October 2011 following the appointment of head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Williams was sent home by Klinsmann during the most recent national team camp, citing a lack of fitness.
