Geoff Cameron to return to Houston as Dynamo to host EPL's Stoke City in Charities Cup
The Houston Dynamo announced Tuesday that they will take on English Premier League's Stoke City FC this summer as part of the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup.
Former Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron and former FC Dallas midfielder Brek Shea, as well as English national teamer Peter Crouch, are among the players who will lead the Potters into BBVA Compass stadium for the 7 pm ET July 24 kickoff. US national team midfielder Maurice Edu is also under contract with Stoke, though he's been on loan to Bursaspor of Turkey since January.
Previously, the Dynamo have hosted Valencia of Spain, Bolton Wanderers of England, CD Águila of El Salvador and Monterrey of Mexico. This marks the fifth annual Charities Cup.
