KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Change is coming to the United States roster ahead of Tuesday’s Hexagonal finale in Panama City.

Following a 2-0 victory against Jamaica on Friday night in Kansas City, US head coach Jurgen Klinsmann said he expects to announce a few squad tweaks on Saturday ahead of the team’s trip to Central America.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Aron Johannsson's first start with the U.S. national team showed both his potential – and his need for more playing time to mesh with the side.

There were flashes of skill and creativity from the young AZ Alkmaar striker during his shift, but also several missed chances before he was lifted for Sacha Kljestan in the 72nd minute of a 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Jamaica.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Landon Donovan may be back at his best for club and country, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to Jurgen Klinsmann’s hook.

The German has made it clear during his two-plus years in charge of the United States that there are no sacred cows, and he reinforced that notion on Friday night in Kansas City when he replaced Donovan with Graham Zusi at halftime of what would eventually be a 2-0 victory for the Americans.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Graham Zusi isn't used to watching from the sideline at his home ground – or anywhere else, for that matter. But there he was, on the bench for the first half of the United States' World Cup qualifier against Jamaica.

It took a while to crystallize, but a formation change and a healthy does of subs power eventually had Jurgen Klinsmann and the US national team celebrating a 2-0 victory over CONCACAF World Cup qualifying visitors Jamaica on Friday night.

"Walking pace" doesn't quite do the first 70 minutes of the US national team's 2-0 win over Jamaica on Friday night justice. It was said a million different ways on Twitter, but we'll give the hat tip to our own Steve Brisendine, who was on the scene:

Día feriado en Honduras cortesía del gobierno catracho quien ya habría tomado este tipo de decisión en partidos previos del Hexagonal. Al final, el día terminó en fiesta nacional, ya que la bicolor sacó un triunfo de 1-0 sobre Costa Rica y aseguró por lo menos un medio boleto al Mundial, aunque realísticamente este resultado prácticamente les asegura el pase directo a Brasil.
