CONCACAF unveils CCL group stage schedule, kicks off Aug. 4

CONCACAF unveiled Monday the group-phase schedule for the 2015-16 Champions League tournament, which kicks off later this summer.

The first matchday will be played on Aug. 4 and group play wraps up on Oct. 22. Only the winners of the eight groups will advance, leading to the elimination of 16 of the 24 participating teams in the group stage.

The quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be played in spring 2015.
