Other than to say it looks like Sporting KC's ambition knows no bounds, I'll let Peter Vermes do the talking on this one.

The Kansas City manager begins discussing the club's pursuit of the Mexican national team starlet around the 3:30 mark in the video below.

Jimmy Conrad wasn't shy about showing off some of his latest dance moves on his way out of Poland, but hey, I'd be dancing with joy too if I were on my way to Ukraine to check out even more action from the 2012 European Championships.

After his car was broken into, forcing Kick TV's man on the ground to miss his flight to Kiev for the England-Sweden match (oh, Jimmy, we're so so sorry), he managed to navigate his way through the Ukrainian countryside and even had time for a quick game of pick-up with some locals.

Despite the missed flight and the 6-hour drive from the airport to Kharkiv, Jimmy finally made it on time for the Group of Death finale between the Netherlands and Portugal.

So go ahead and keep on dancing, Jimmy. It's a grueling and unglamorous job, but someone has to do it.

Great times had by all tonight at Stade Saputo, especially some of the Impact supporters, who orchestrated a serious march to the stadium from one of the pubs about an hour before kickoff.  I don't speak much French, so I couldn't tell you exactly what they were chanting, but I do know it was plenty of fun to see the looks around the neighborhood as the Ultras rolled through.

Little surprise, they kept it up all evening. Late second half...

Sunday, June 17, is Father's Day, and we're honoring all the dads out there who make their kids' time in soccer so special.

Here's the deal: Dads/kids, send us your very best soccer-related pictures of you two by tweeting the image to @MLS with a description and the hashtag #SoccerDads. We will be selecting some of the best ones and using them in a photo album on the MLS Facebook page. We can't wait to see your entries!

Check the MLS Facebook page at the conclusion of the LA Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers game to see if your photo was selected.

And while you're thinking about which awesome photo to send us, get in the Father's Day spirit as Sporting Kansas City's Teal Bunbury reflects on the impact his dad had on him. (Some of you may recognize the video from last year, but we think this story is timeless.)

Sit back, relax, put your feet up and watch your favorite MLS stars in action. Doing just that sounds like a wonderful time for any MLS fan. But how about instead of seeing the stars on TV, they pop round to your house to deliver a plethora of Xbox related goodies?

“Yes please!” would be your likely response, I’m sure.

Well that’s what’s up for grabs with MLS Xbox Home Invasion Sweepstakes. And oh yeah, make sure you clean up your living room. C.J. Sapong, Freddy Adu or Mauro Rosales might be stopping by soon…

All you have to do is go to and enter.  The grand prize is a VIP trip to MLS Cup, PLUS an MLS player will arrive at your house to deliver these great prizes:

  • Xbox 360 console with a Kinect sensor
  • 12-month Xbox LIVE Gold membership
  • Dance Central 2 game
  • Kinect Sports: Season two game

So what are you waiting for? Get to it!

After watching from afar as Jimmy Conrad and Kick TV cavort around Poland enjoying Euro 2012, I'm pretty much at a loss for words.

Life isn't fair, that much is clear to me now. Of course, that sentiment is also coming from someone who has watched all but one game of the tournament, so I'm sure there isn't going to be much sympathy coming my way.

Still, the tournament looks like a blast apart from a few scattered incidents, and fortunately Conrad has been kind enough (it's his job after all) to send back regular reports from the front lines, where Zywiec flows freely from the taps, song crops up around every corner and faces rarely go unpainted.

If you haven't been paying attention for the past few days, check out Jimmy's horse-drawn carriage interview with Sports Illustrated's Grant Wahl and his afternoon of revelry with Croatian fans. Let's just say he seizes the day in Poznan.

15 June 10:13 de la mañana

Morning, everybody. Just under 24 hours completed here in Montreal, and so far the stay has been fantastic. Our crew touched down yesterday and while we're getting ready to cruise out to Impact training, wanted to share a few images from our visit to the new Stade Saputo.

Conclusion: You're gonna love it.

The Impact were kind enough to hook up the Extratime Radio crew with some space to record yesterday's show, then Impact owner Joey Saputo stopped by, work vest and all. Awesome, and I have a feeling he might be out there again today. The shot above is the pitch from the big guy's office, not a bad view, right?

This was pretty sweet. It's a little tough to make out, but that was the number two spelled out on the far side in the seats. That area of seating acts as a countdown clock of sorts for everyone working out at the stadium, with the number changing each day. According to Saputo, they've been changing the number in the middle of the night since the 24-day mark.

After the visit, the lovely folks at the new Football Cafe on Rue Saint-Denis took care of us for the Spain-Ireland massacre. If you're ever up here for a match, make sure you stop by.

Very nice, and very much looking forward to Saturday. We'll check back in soon.
