You have an iPhone. You use it all the time. You sing songs to it. You need it. You love it. Maybe a little too much.

Maybe you sleep with it under your pillow. Maybe you grouse to it about your boss. Maybe you tell it about that one time in college when you... well, that's between you and Siri. Because Siri understands.

Siri also understands updates. She loves 'em. And we love 'em, too.

So here's the MLS iOS app update, which was just approved in the store.

Chicago Fire striker Dominic Oduro once bet his entire salary in a race against (the, in fairness, not professional athletes that are) his front office colleagues Brendan Hannan and Jeff Crandall. That might seem foolish, until you consider that Oduro thinks he is the fastest man in MLS.

The idea that anyone not named Usain Bolt would beat him in a race probably seems absurd to him, and it turns out that his confidence, in this case, was justified.

But apparently the Ghanaian's blazing speed is not reserved solely for the field. In the commercial below, you'll see Oduro get an entire shopping cart full of groceries in the five minutes until the supermarket closes and still have time for a shirtless celebration. If that's not impressive, I don't know what is.

Now when are we going to see him actually race someone so we can definitively settle the "fastest man in MLS" question once and for all? How about it, Dane Richards?

Somehow, Didier Drogba played in London for nearly a decade and managed to remain underrated. How that's possible I have no idea — the English press (which drives discussion about players in more than just the English-speaking soccer world) is famous for overinflating the value of guys who play in the Premiership.

So it's kind of remarkable that Drogba spent the last eight seasons as the best player for one of the EPL's two best clubs, yet was almost never regarded as such.

Now reports (including one with what is purportedly a direct quote from Drogba himself) say he's leaving Chelsea. And, of course, he's doing so on top, having led the Blues to their first ever Champions League title:

Most analysts see him landing in China with former teammate and current BFF Nicolas Anelka, but surely more than a few MLS clubs must be interested, right? Given Drogba's form, stature and ability to put the ball in the net, he'd seem to make an ideal DP.

Montreal looks like a natural landing spot, since it'd be a big boost to add a Francophone star. But another team that should at least pick up the phone is Chicago. The Fire have shown they're not nearly as far along as they looked at the end of 2011, and could use a true target man to lead the forward line.

Drogba is nothing if not that. Even if it did take the English press far, far too long to notice.

Dan Gargan usually paints to find an escape from his day job, but the Chicago Fire defender mixed his two passions in a piece he painted for Wednesday’s “Art of Futbol” Gallery showing in Chicago, which takes place on Wednesday and benefits the Chicago Fire Foundation.

Gargan’s piece is called “The Beautiful Game,” and is an abstract vision of what Gargan believes soccer embodies.

“It’s pretty simple,” Gargan told MLSsoccer.com. “It’s got a bunch of flowers in it. When I think of the game, there’s just a bunch of different ways you can express yourself through the game.

"I feel like no one person’s expression or interpretation of the game is the same, and that’s reminiscent of how flowers are. They’re all unique, and they’re all beautiful in their own way.”

Gargan has loved painting since he was a kid, and he minored in studio art at Georgetown University.

Most of his painting nowadays comes in the offseason. His paintings usually end up somewhere in his apartment or in a family member’s home, but a few players around MLS have asked him to paint for them.

This offseason, Colorado forward Conor Casey, Gargan’s former teammate, gave him a wall in his home to use as his canvas.

“He’s always been a big fan of my art,” Gargan said. “He gave me a wall and said, ‘Go for it.’”

Gargan is working on a web site to promote his art work, which he said should be up in the next few weeks.

The Fire defender is hoping people will be interested in his work, and is excited about Wednesday’s showing, which takes place from 7 to 9 pm CT at Society Art Gallery in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood.

But he’s perfectly fine if painting remains just a hobby.

“What I’m getting out of it right now is exactly what I’m looking for,” Gargan said. “That’s the ability to step away from soccer and just have fun with it. It gives me a lot of joy and a lot of happiness to me and my friends and my family. If it was to get bigger, or people were interested in it, that’s great. But it’s more of just an outlet for me.”

Harry Redknapp may yet get his wish for goal-line technology, and if he does, Major League Soccer is likely to be at the forefront of the effort to develop it.

Speaking to the Associated Press Sports Editors on Thursday, Commissioner Don Garber said MLS would like the be a test league for goal-line technology once it is approved by the International Football Association Board, which could come as soon as July.

“We’re interested in being a test league and we hope that we could achieve that,” Garber told the APSE. “I would be open to whatever it is that could be done to ensure that we have goal-line technology.”

The English Premier League is expected to use the technology during the 2012-13 season.

Garber also discussed MLS’ interest in Spanish forward Raul Gonzalez, and the league’s continued focus on placing a team in the New York area as well as the “auction-like” process to choose an owner.

There’s a lot that goes into being a captain, and each of the 19 in Major League Soccer approach it in a different way. From Shalrie Joseph’s ever-present chatter to Davy Arnaud’s work ethic, our new series “Taking the Lead” provides an in-depth look at what leadership means to those wearing the armband, as told in their own voices. The series debuts Wednesday, April 18 with Real Salt Lake captain Kyle Beckerman.

Chicago Fire front office extraordinaires Brendan Hannan and Jeff Crandall dared Chicago Fire forward Dominic Oduro to a race.

The fastest man in MLS was so confident he'd win the 40-yard dash, he put his salary on the line. See how it ended up below:
