AMSTERDAM – The agent for Clint Dempsey has poured ice cold water on a recent UK tabloid report saying that Tottenham was looking to offload the US star this summer.
Ten days ago, The Mirror suggested that Spurs were open to offers for the 30-year-old Texan, who has two seasons left on his contract. Dempsey's rep, however, says this claim could not be further from the truth.
LA Galaxy Designated Player and captain Robbie Keane captained the Republic of Ireland to a 1-1 draw against England at Wembley Stadium in one of the most high-profile international friendlies played on Wednesday.

EDMONTON, Alberta – On Tuesday night, Julian de Guzman played his first game back on North American soil since leaving MLS for Europe five months ago. But don’t expect him back anytime soon.
Though he’ll likely play a few more games for Canada in this summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup, de Guzman (above right, with Dwayne De Rosario) said this week that his club aspirations still belong in Europe, even if he leaves SSV Jahn Regensburg of the German second division.
