Greg Lalas

Greg Lalas has been the editor in chief of MLSsoccer.com since 2010. He is a regular on the ExtraTime Radio podcast and The Daily.

A graduate of Brown University ("Go Bruno!"), Lalas played in MLS for the Tampa Bay Mutiny (RIP) and the New England Revolution, although "played" is slightly overstating his involvement.

He began his journalism career in 2000, when he joined the editorial staff at Boston Magazine. He has since contributed to, among others, The New York Times, The Boston Globe Magazine, and Continental.

Lalas has held several different positions in soccer journalism, including primary analyst for New England Revolution TV broadcasts (2004-2009), site director of Goal.com USA (2005-2010), columnist for SportsIllustrated.com (2006-2010), host of ExtraTime video show on MLSnet.com (2007-2009), and co-host of the Waiting for Gaetjens podcast (2009-2010).

He is a co-founder of the Kicking + Screening Soccer Film Festival and serves on the board of Soccer Without Borders.
