Diego Pinzón

Diego Pinzón

Diego Pinzón is the Associate Editor of FutbolMLS.com, co-host of the weekly online show Zona Mixta, and producer of the top Spanish-language North American soccer podcast Tiro Libre Radio. He is the mind behind Primer Plano, an in-depth long-form series exploring the ups, downs and issues surrounding Hispanic players in MLS. Pinzón also attempts to make magic every day leading the social media outreach via @futbolMLS

A multimedia bilingual journalist, Pinzón began his journalism career in his native Colombia, at the Universidad de La Sabana, while also producing and hosting several shows for different online radio stations in Bogotá.

Prior to joining the MLSsoccer.com staff, he spent some time around muppets at Sesame Workshop, and as a Production Assistant for ESPN's domestic and international networks in Bristol. He has also served as a social media consultant for, among others, Genesis Radio Network in Miami and the NGO Patrulla Aérea Civil Colombiana.

Avid fan of one of Colombia's greatest, and currently in second division, América de Cali (four time Copa Libertadores finalists - never won it). Enjoys a cup of fresh Colombian coffee every morning just as much as being the "Flying Squirrel" for the MLS Digital co-ed soccer team.
